My Earth Day (Week) Post

Let me start off by saying that I love the earth. It’s God’s beautiful creation and I wholeheartedly believe that we should be responsible with it. Now, let me rant.

In honor of Earth Day, Nanci Pelosi decided to bust out her favorite ficticious Bible verse that she reserves for major holidays:

“The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, ‘To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.’ On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children’s children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.”

Special thanks to Cybercast News Service for doing their homework and consulting several different Biblical scholars. It is confirmed: this scripture does not exist in the Bible.

FYI for those who’ve been taken by the scam of global warming: The supposed problem is that the earth’s overall temperature has gone up 0.6º C in the past 78 years. According to Phil Chapman of NASA the earth has cooled more than that, 0.7º C, just in the past year (Jan. 2007-Jan. 2008.) Bust out the winter coats, we’re headed for the ice age.
